Italian Cuirass
Mid 15th C
This cuirass is a close copy of one of the 15th C Italian armors discovered in a church in
Mantova, Italy during the early part of the 20th century. I tried very hard to include all the
details that the original posessed. It is a typical example of a knight's armor from the mid
15th C.
Options shown include:
Triangular rolls on the breastplate
Round rolls on backplate and tassets
Handmade buckles
Handmade hinges
All stainless hardware
Detacheable lance rest
Full views of the armor are on this page. I've divided the remainder of the pictures into
several categories, as follows:
Misc Details (9 Pictures)
Lance Rest Details (6 Pictures)
The Cuirass Disassembled (9 Pictures)
Pictures of Me Wearing the Cuirass (6 Pictures)
(and I could barely squeeze into it...)
